Let's go - "The Way Home"

Life is a journey that we all undertake, and it can be a challenge to find our place in this world. We ask ourselves questions like, what do we want to do? How do we want to think? Who do we want to surround ourselves with? Did we choose the reality we live in, or are we just going through the motions? As an artist, Nevenka believes that we can express our journeys through art. In this blog post, she will be sharing how she has expressed her personal journey of finding her place in the world through her latest painting, "The Way Home".
"The Way Home" depicts a colorful and abstract bird spiraling around a blue sky. To her, the bird represents the journey of immigration and the search for home. The spiraling motion of the bird represents the ups and downs of the journey, as well as the constant feeling of being pulled in different directions. The blue sky represents the vastness of the unknown, as well as the possibility of finding something new and beautiful.
The piece is a personal painting that reflects her journey of immigrating from Chile to the United States. While she loved her home country of Chile, she never felt like it was where she truly belonged. She felt like there was something missing, and she couldn't quite put her finger on it. It wasn't until she moved to the United States that she finally felt like she had found home.
As an artist, she believes that art can be a powerful way of expressing our experiences and emotions. Through her painting, she hopes to connect with other people who have gone through a similar journey of immigration and finding home. She wants to show that while the journey can be difficult and sometimes overwhelming, there is always a possibility of finding something new and beautiful. And that living starts when you take control of your reality.
